Recently we had the pleasure of working with Carmel Builders during the remodeling of our kitchen and dining room. Much to our delight, it was a great experience, something you don’t often hear about remodeling.

We met Louis and Tom at the Milwaukee NARI home improvement show and felt an immediate connection. Our first impression was that these people knew what they were doing…and we felt comfortable with them

When we first began talking about remodeling, we knew what we wanted, but it seemed pretty daunting. After speaking with Louis the first time, we realized that our dream could become reality. Louis went through the demolition steps with us, and then the steps towards a brand new kitchen. He really dispelled our worries, and showed us how, and on what kind of schedule the remodeling could be done.

Our old kitchen and dining room were small rooms that didn’t make good use of the space. They tended to be dark because the walls blocked the outside light. The dining room was too small to use for entertaining so it became our “junk” room” and the kitchen design and layout was really becoming a headache. When the refrigerator door was opened the back hall was blocked so no one could walk through! We wanted to convert the two rooms into one large, friendly and convenient kitchen. We knew we needed help with the design as well as the actual remodeling.

Carmel created a wonderful design for our new kitchen. Before the remodel everything was so crowded and cramped - now we have space for everything! No more clutter and overstuffed cabinets. We love it! In place of our small kitchen and dining room we now have a beautiful, warm, spacious and contemporary kitchen. It flows into the rest of our home so well; much better than the original design.

During construction we were struck with how professional and courteous all the Carmel workers were. The trade contractors were great too. Workers were here when they said they would be, and called to keep us informed when there were delays. We always felt comfortable having them in our home, even when we were not home. They were respectful of our home and property and our kids (especially our 9 year old daughter) loved having them around! The quality of their work was excellent and when we had questions or concerns they were responsive and promptly returned calls.

Our new kitchen is wonderful to work in and incredibly beautiful. It is everything we dreamed of and more. We are so eager to show it off, we entertain as often as possible now.

We would gladly recommend Carmel Builders to anyone planning on remodeling and know we’ll call Carmel when we remodel again.
