My co-workers hear me holding-forth about my remodeling project at work while passing out endless handfuls of “before”, “during” and “after” pictures and their first question is, “Who did your project?” Then, second “Where did you find them?” I tell them Carmel Builders in Menomonee Falls. Initially, I found them in the NARI member book when I was searching for a contractor to do an earlier project – a walk-in bay area in the dining room. On completion of that little addition, I knew then and there that I’d ask them back one year later to add a garden room/bathroom/ laundry area addition. I pass around the pictures because I’m really proud of their work; and I’m really proud of them.

They not only care about what they lay their hands to, but they care about the customer, and they care about each other. They are a cohesive group working with a certain “spirit” on site. They like what they do and every detail is superbly coordinated from materials to scheduling, to communication, to actual construction. Having worked on two projects at our home, both were begun and completed exactly as scheduled. The team was present daily at the start of the day, rain or shine-working either inside or outside without fail. The constancy of their attendance was the neighborhood “buzz”.

Surely, this sounds too good to be true, but it is true and I honestly feel that I would not do a remodel or repair on the house with anyone but Carmel Builders. The usual stress connected with a remodeling project was totally absent because of the measure of TRUST I had in Carmel Builders to be there regularly; build with quality workmanship and materials; to back up their work with integrity; to pick up on the details (thank you –Joe); and to superbly coordinate on a seamless schedule with their sub-contractors.

All of that and the job site was cleaned up daily! They were always concerned about neatness and cleanliness and disruption was kept to a minimum. The average remodel could send anyone living in the residence straight to a support group a “screaming mimi”. Not with Carmel!

Every aspect of their projects fall into place right down to completion because of their excellence, experience and honest-to-goodness care about a job done right. My only regret is that I don’t have unlimited funds for more projects-as I’d have them back in a minute!! I miss them.
