We do not work on projects that do not warrant a minimum investment of $100,000 or more. We specialize in projects that are more complicated and require attention to detail in Design and Development and project management during Construction. We have found that smaller projects do not require the same meticu­lousness and as a result, our process/​services are excessive for these types of projects. In short, our clients would pay more than the value they would receive.

Before we ask any client to make a financial commitment in the form of a Design Agreement, we will review the project, verbal ballpark” investment, our process, and what steps to take next.

We do not provide any written or formal estimates. 

Design and Development for most projects takes 4 – 12 months depending on the size and complexity of the project. Construction varies based upon the size of the project, but you will know your approximate completion date before we start so that you can plan accordingly.

We do charge for Design and Development. We sign a separate contract to cover the cost of Design and Development. That fee covers all costs for drawings, selections, and project development. The amount varies based upon the size of the project and whether Carmel Builders is providing all or only some of the Design and Development services.

Depending on the complexity and size of your home, the investment for a remodel can widely range. Our success is defined by providing you with a solution for what you want and need within a budget you are comfortable with, but below are some of the starting investments for remodeling projects. These are average project costs that we see:

  • Kitchens: $125,000-$200,000
  • Master Bathrooms: $100,000
  • Standard Bathrooms: $50,000-$75,000**
  • Lower Levels/​Basements: $100,000
  • Family Room Additions: $200,000-$350,000
  • Multi-Room Remodels: $300,000-$500,000
  • Whole House Remodels: $500,000-$1,000,000

**We generally only remodel these rooms as part of a larger project. 

While the final investment of a custom new home can widely range depending on the size and complexity, we generally advise clients to plan for $400/​sq. ft. to accommodate for the price of all luxury fixtures and finishes.

We are committed to exceptional communi­cation during construction of all projects. You will be assigned a Project Manager that will be on-site daily and will meet with you one-on-one each week to review project details, schedules, and any critical items. We also use an online project management portal which ensures that you always have access to project updates and information.
